MakerBot Training Steps

Step Two - Prepare

To use the MakerBots you first must make a .x3g file. To do this you will use MakeWare, which is located on all computers in Towne 205, 195, or GM lab or can be downloaded from the MakerWare Website. Note that the Mr. Jaws file can be found in any version of MakerWare by accessing File >> Examples >> Mr_Jaws.stl.

Step Five- Make

Save the .x3g file to the SD card, and go find a Bot. You will need to load your filament, level the build plate, and start your job.

It is highly suggested to run the startup script, which will walk you through all of the steps to complete Mini Mr. Jaws. This can be accessed from the main menu by selecting Utilities >> Run Startup Scrip and following all onscreen instructions.
